Preface: there will be no weapon guide for the first Mass Effect. And don’t persuade.

So let’s get started.

Great pistol that they give you at the very beginning. A trouble-free machine for killing fast and scary-looking opponents like Vorks, Varrens and ordinary soldiers.

Advantages: good rate of fire; absolute accuracy; in the hands of a Soldier with a perk for ammo it becomes a real terminator.
Flaws: ineffective against shields; to remove one without the perk for disintegrating cartridges, you need to shoot two or one and a half clips (one with all the improvements); one single krogan will eat two clips.

Totally crap Soldiers and Guardians get along just fine without this monster. It doesn’t burn through ammo as quickly as the Predator, but that doesn’t make up for its shortcomings.

Advantages: great power; very good against shields.
Flaws: low rate of fire; one selected thermal charge gives only three cartridges; if the enemy is a fast bastard, then take a faster-firing weapon such as an assault rifle or submachine gun.

There’s simply nothing to say. To me personally. Because “Phalanx” became for me, a person with not very good eyesight, God’s crap because of the laser sight. Not recommended for soldiers.

Advantages: more powerful than “Executioner”.
Disadvantages: Soldiers, listen to me: when you are in a sunny location, you lean out of cover and want to shoot at the enemy from the “Phalanx”, DON’T FUCK SLO-MO! You can’t even see the laser sight afterwards; the rate of fire is god-awful – recommended for avid snipers with 100% vision; only comes with paid DLC.

Submachine guns.

Not a bad weapon early in the game.

Advantages: effective against shields; helps a lot in the fight against robots.
Flaws: after finding “Fury” it becomes useless; accuracy is low, and against armor it is better to use other weapons.

As for this PP, it became an outlet for my Adept after the torment with “Shuriken”.
One of the most powerful specimens in the game.

Advantages: a very, very useful thing against any opponents at short range; with all the improvements it crushes anyone.
Flaws: low accuracy, not allowing sniping enthusiasts to turn around.

M-12 "Locust".

Not every new gun is useful. So this instance did not become something extraordinary. Yes, in addition it comes with DLC. To be honest, I rarely used Cicada.

Advantages: at least somehow effective at long distances; the coolest PP gun; pretty impressive damage.
Flaws: Comes with DLC; the amount of ammunition is simply shocking – after “Fury” you will start yelling angrily at Bioware on the forums; teammates stupidly try to get closer with this weapon, while with the Shuriken they did the exact opposite.

M-8 "Avenger".

The very first assault rifle that is given to you if you choose a Soldier. A fairly simple and effective example. Whatever one may say, in 2185 they know how to make weapons.

Advantages: at the initial stage of the game it is simply irreplaceable; good against weaklings; low recoil, thanks to which the barrel does not carry away to the Normandy at superluminal speed.
Flaws: low accuracy; low damage coefficient; useless against YMIR.

M-15 "Defender".

The most powerful assault rifle in the game, but I have ambivalent feelings about it.

Dignity: excellent damage to any targets; Quite cool appearance)))); good accuracy and accuracy.
Flaws: small ammunition; low rate of fire; against nimble opponents it is worth using faster-firing weapons.

M-76 "Ghost"

The most useless gun in the game. On my second playthrough as a Soldier, I took something cooler.

Advantages: large ammunition capacity; perfectly kills crowds of huskies.
Flaws: the expansion is absolutely amazing – the gun was made by some very cross-eyed designer; one bullet does no more damage than the Avenger; effective only in close combat – lovers of precision shooting can rest.

Geth https://nogamstop-casinos.co.uk/review/prive-casino/ Pulse Rifle.

In my opinion, the most useful gun in the game. I went through the entire second half of the game with her.

Advantages: excellent accuracy; decent rate of fire and accuracy; stylish outfit))); the damage is comparable to the damage of the “Defender”.
Flaws: It is possible to obtain a copy of such a weapon only on Hestrom at the “Expert” or “Madness” difficulty level.

The "Hoe" rifle is a mass modification of previous generation automatic rifles. The built-in mass generator made this rifle one of the most accurate. And I agree with this description.

Advantages: quite a lot of damage; with Slo-mo enabled, you can kill any enemy with a few quick shots; high precision.
Flaws: small store volumes and boring stock; without perks for weaker cartridges; again comes with DLC.

Collector Pulse Rifle.

Sample weapons of the main antagonists. Pretty good. Although I only completed three missions with her.

Advantages: excellent rate of fire; quite a lot of damage; effective against all types of defense.
Flaws: accuracy is not up to par; little ammunition; comes with shitty DLC.

X-92e "Mantis"

An excellent example of a sniper weapon, designed for quickly killing weak enemies who periodically crawl out from behind cover. Takes down most opponents like Blue Light fighters with one shot.

Dignity: quite powerful; accuracy is commendable; great weapon at all stages of the game.
Disadvantages: after each shot you need to reload the weapon; after picking up the “Widow” it becomes second in power.

X-97e "Viper"

Automatic sniper rifle. A rather unpretentious appearance, white paint and skillful hands – that’s all she needs.

Advantages: average rate of fire; works quite well against armor; good against vork.
Flaws: damage is three times less than that of the “Mantis”; absolutely useless against bosses at high difficulty levels – there won’t be enough ammo for them.

This “sniper rifle” can be described in one word – USELESS!!

Advantages: *facepalm*.
Flaws: high consumption of ammunition; weak firepower; there are always few cartridges; there is no difference between it and "Cicada".

AM rifle X-98e “Widow”

The most powerful rifle in the game. Fires enhanced ammo coated with antimatter. My choice.

Advantages: insane power.
Flaws: the same problems with magazine volume as the “Mantis”.

M-23a "Katana"

Starting weapons for Stormtroopers and the like. Worthy copy.

Advantages: originally beautiful; does good damage.
Flaws: after finding the Scimitar it is of little use.

M-27a "Yatagan"

An excellent representative of shotguns that does not shoot in long bursts. These are mistakes. Also a great example.

Advantages: powerful; shoots a little further than the Katana.
Flaws: does not fire in bursts; ineffective against armor.

M-22a "Ripper"

Useless. Just in general. I personally didn’t like going with him. Thermal charges are just wasted.

Advantages: no.
Flaws: everything you can (; supplied as additional content.

M-300 Claymore

A super-powerful example of a human weapon, discontinued due to the risk of breaking an arm due to strong recoil. Used by Krogan Leaders. And in your hands it is a miracle of engineering.

Advantages: it will blow away almost anyone up close; huge base damage.
Flaws: single-shot; loses effectiveness when shooting at a distance; located closer to the middle of the game; thermal charge restores only one cartridge.

Geth Plasma Shotgun

The best weapon of this class.

Advantages: acts at any distances (except really colossal ones, of course); can charge a shot, making it even more powerful.
Flaws: comes with DLC; does not work very well against heavy robots; Alternate shot doesn’t charge very quickly.

Given at the very beginning. Worthy copy.

Advantages: quite effective; deals area damage.
Flaws: rarely used after studying prototypes.

Rocket launcher. Fires weak rounds. Study for show, but do not transfer precious energy cells to such poor charges.

Advantages: kills any soldier with one shot.
Flaws: causes negligible damage to YMIRs and Eye; The lack of splash damage is infuriating; even attack aircraft require two or three shots.

M-622 "Avalanche"

Freeze Cannon. Fires cryocharges with Bose condensate.

Advantages: irreplaceable against Husks, Klixenes and Geths; you can freeze an entire crowd with one shot.
Flaws: Doesn’t work well against YMIRs and Geth Primes.

Weapon for burning enemies at close range. A gun for born pyrotechnicians.

Advantages: Burns crowds of enemies in seconds
Flaws: cannot reach distant opponents.

Arc Emitter

An excellent weapon for destroying several enemies standing several meters apart from each other. Pretty good choice.

Advantages: synthetics die instantly – synthetics must die!; the living also die; Requires only one charge to create a transformer-box atmosphere.
Flaws: YMIR dies after only six shots.

Collectors Particle Emitter

A curious piece of Collector technology. Truly a wonderful weapon.

Advantages: instantly hitting the enemy; high damage; quickly removes shields and burns armor.
Flaws: sometimes ammo is used up too quickly.

Super-powerful weapon, portable atomic cannon from Crysis through the eyes of Bioware. A grisly weapon of destruction.

Advantages: destroys any enemy and boss with one shot; looks scary to say the least.
Flaws: researching it is very expensive; Before firing, you need to load the shot; fires only one shot – then you have to tediously collect the found batteries.
